It is also ideal for Parents with  Children from the age of 8 years.

THE PROGRAM:
The btcc program initiates in its volunteers the free will, free spirit idea of participation, whereby each volunteer contributes their individual knowledge and skill while performing their set down duties and agendas in the schedule program.
Most important is the understanding that the community around the btcc is not a privileged community therefore many are uneducated and therefore the scientific approach to environmental understanding is avoided and replaced by simpler ways and means to their environmental consciousness and awareness. In short, there is no textbook reference we follow but a way of life / commonsense approach and understanding of the environment.
The Program Center will at the end of the volunteer duration acknowledge the work done by its volunteers by way of awarding a certificate of appreciation and merit indicating the date year and name of the volunteer with the copy of the btcc registration certificate.

Community work at the surrounded local schools
Tree planting activities

Volunteer at the Beach Turlte Community and Conservation Center Kenya

We are dedicated to Conservation not only because it is the right thing to do at this day and age but mostly because we are exposed to countless encounters of sea life cruelty on a day to day basis. In a developing country it is difficult for the common people to understand that the Turtle is an endangered species because this same turtle represents a way of life for the people to earn their livelihood through the sale of the turtle meat and shell, which fetches more than their months' wages when sold on the black market. We come across injured dolphins at least twice or thrice a week, dolphins that have tried to escape the harpoons and spears of the fisherman. It is a sad sight and a sad practice. It is this that motivates us to want to conserve and help our two endangered friends of the sea.

We are surrounded by a rich, diverse culture of African tradition and local lifestyle. This heritage that we live in, is something for all to experience, while helping with conservation or community work. One is exposed to this other beautiful experience of Kenyan coastal culture and traditions.

Come and participate, to make a difference in conservation and while doing so, have fun, live and enjoy the life of the volunteer at the Beach Africa
